Morning sickness is a common problem suffered by most pregnant women. The funny thing is that a woman who has never been pregnant won’t be able to tell you how it feels like to suffer from morning sickness. The general consensus among physicians is that women suffer from morning sickness mostly during the first trimester of their pregnancy period. This is totally wrong. From what I know, not all women suffer from morning sickness. Some suffer from morning sickness throughout their entire pregnancy period, while others are immune to it. Another misconception regarding morning sickness is that morning sickness happens only in the morning. The fact is that you can suffer from morning sickness at any time of the day, be it afternoon, or evening, and not just in the morning. In this article I will tell you how to cure morning sickness easily!
There is really no single cause behind morning sickness. Doctors believe that when a woman gets pregnant, her hormone levels change drastically and she becomes more sensitive to odors and smells around her. This is why she suffers from morning sickness. Others believe that morning sickness is an indication that the woman is going to deliver twins or triplets. Still others believe that if a woman is prone to nausea or migraine or if she has suffered from morning sickness in her previous pregnancy, then she is very likely to suffer from morning sickness whenever she gets pregnant. There are however, two easy ways to cure morning sickness.
1. Eat small meals throughout the day, instead of having three large meals in the whole day. In fact, you can just break the large meals into small meals and eat one small meal every two or three hours. You should also avoid foods that whose scent trigger nausea in you. Avoid fatty foods as well. Take plenty of rest during pregnancy. You should also drink plenty of water every day. Taking prenatal vitamin supplements will also help to cure morning sickness.
2. Other natural ways to cure morning sickness is by using ginger and peppermint. Note that while there is no medical proof that these things indeed help to cure morning sickness, some women have been able to get rid of nausea and morning sickness after taking ginger and peppermint. Other natural remedies you can use to cure morning sickness are bananas, Vitamin B, cloves, cola syrup, honey, ice, lemons and red raspberry leaf tea. Be sure to consult with your physician before using any of these natural remedies.
