There are a lot of things you can do in order to cure acne, but my question is, why not take the measures which actually prevent an acne breakout? After all, it is no fun when your friends make fun of you just because your ‘once beautiful’ face is now full of ugly pimples, right? In this article I will talk about five acne prevention measures that don’t cost an arm and a leg and are very easy to follow too.
Keep Your Hair Away From The Skin: A lot of people, especially females, keep their hair long. Nothing is wrong with that, as long as you use the proper hair accessories such as ties, headbands or clips to keep your hair in proper place. Aside from the fact that it only enhances your beauty, you will also be reducing future acne breakouts by keeping your hair as much far from your skin as possible.
Be Wary Of Cheap Cosmetic Products: When it comes to just about anything in life, you usually get what you pay for. In case of cosmetic products, this statement is even more valid. While good cosmetic products can enhance the beauty and health of your skin, bad ones do exactly the opposite: fill your skin with terrible acne rashes and other skin diseases. If you can afford to buy quality cosmetic products, fine; if not, better not use any cosmetic products on your skin at all (this includes products such as gels, creams, cleansers, etc).
Do Not Touch Or Prick Your Acne: Whether you have just a single pimple on your face or a severe acne breakout, it is very tempting to touch or prick it often, especially if it itches, ain’t it? Well, I’ll tell you what; it only worsens your acne and causes severe inflammation of your skin.
Eat Healthy: One of the best ways to avoid acne is by maintaining a healthy diet regimen. Fruits, leafy vegetables, whole grain wheat breads, pulses, etc., are some of the best things you can include in your diet. Definitely avoid oily, fatty and starchy foods as they can worsen your acne condition, not to mention that they will also mess up your digestive system. Processed foods and soft drinks should be avoided too as they contain harmful additives. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water throughout the day!
Do Not Wear Heavy Makeup: A little face foundation once in a while is fine, or if you want to extend it a bit further, you can wear light makeup. But you must not outdo this; you should certainly not put on makeup often and even when you do, it must not be any kind of heavy makeup. Avoid cheap makeup kits as they contain dangerous chemicals which might destroy your delicate skin tissues. Most importantly, you should remove your makeup with a good cleanser or face wash (not just plain water; water doesn’t remove all of your makeup, as a matter of fact); DO NOT sleep with your makeup on.
See? Did not I tell you that preventing acne breakouts is darn easy! For more information, [adrotate banner=”3″]
