I don’t know if you have heard the buzz that Techsmith is making fully working versions of Camtasia 3.13 and Snag It 7.25 available to the public for free. There is surely a hook: if you like their software, they expect you to upgrade to the latest version at a great discount. However, upgrading is completely optional.
Personally I just had time to download the two, but am yet to install them. Anyway, I thought it would be a good deal for you. So here is how to get them:
1. Camtasia:
Download the main application from here
Get the software key from here
I have a question: what are you going to do with Camtasia once you download it? I know the answer is obvious: create multimedia tutorials. But for someone who has never used Camtasia, using it can be as tough as using Dreamweaver. Fortunately, we have an 'old helper' in the form of Kevin Riley, and his Camtasia Recipe will serve you good for this purpose. Kevin’s cheap guide will dramatically shorten your learning curve! :D
You can get his recipe here:

2. Snag It
Download the main application from here

While I hate to email anyone on a Sunday, I just didn’t want my subscribers to miss out on this. And honestly I was quite surprised to see that very few people actually notified their subscribers about this one!
If there were ever anything called an 'useful thanksgiving gift' then this deal has got to be one! :)
As always, your comments are greatly appreciated!
Hey Arindam,
Thanks for the great information on getting Camtasia and SnagIt for free! That’s fantastic and no one else has mentioned this, as you say.
I had trouble with the link for the SnagIT download and I had to get it here ftp://ftp.techsmith.com/pub/products/snagit/725/SnagIt.exe instead.
The other links and registration keys are all fine and I’ve downloaded and registered!
Thanks again for a very helpful tip.
Cheers!
