Can Water Really Help You Get Rid of Acne Blemishes?

Weird, isn’t it? You would think that it costs an arm and a leg to get rid of acne scars, when water is all that your body needs! Actually, if you don’t believe me right now, I cannot blame you. I don’t think a lot of people are aware about the immense benefits of drinking water. They dismiss water as something plain and ordinary. Well let me tell you something, just because you have easy and free access to it, and just because it looks and tastes plain, does not mean that water should be considered a trifle!

If you ask around, a lot of people might dismiss the idea that water could ever help you get rid of acne scars and blemishes, but that is true! Fact is, water is the very source of our life! I don’t know about you, but I can live a day without food but I cannot live even an hour without water! That is why I always keep a bottle filled with pure drinking water near my desk, so that I can have easy access to it whenever I want. I would recommend that you do the same thing!

How much water should you drink? Well, that is a debatable issue. The common belief is that you should drink at least eight glasses of water every day. Then there are others who would suggest drinking a couple of liters of water immediately after waking up from bed in the morning! Still, there are others who dismiss the idea that one really needs to drink any extra water; according to them, water can be gotten through fruits and vegetables and thus, one does not need to consume any extra water.

Each opinion is valid in its own way, but I would suggest that you stop listening to others and drink the amount of water that your body needs. Your body would give you proper signals; for example, in case you are terribly dehydrated, you would feel sick, tired, fatigued, suffer from digestive problems, etc. Even more signals: do you have problem passing bowels? Then you are not drinking enough water! Is your urine of dark color? If yes, then again you require more water intake; when the urine is of straw’s color, then you would know that you have drunk enough water, and if the color of urine is crystal clear, then that means you have consumed a little more water than your body requires. Remember that while drinking less than required water is harmful for your overall health, drinking more is not a problem at all, because your body would eventually flush out the extra water from your body in the form of urine!

By drinking more water, you help the body flush out the toxins better; water acts as a detoxifier by promoting your urine and excreta outputs! That apart, when you drink enough water, all the organs inside your body would work well, blood circulation would improve, and you would generally feel better about yourself.

To conclude, yes, water can indeed help you get rid of your scars (by detoxifying your body) but you won’t get an overnight success from it! My suggestion is: drink enough water daily, not just to get rid of your blemishes, but in order to improve your overall health; make it a part of your daily routine! When you are healthy, your body will heal faster than otherwise!
